There are two ways to make an app i.e. Webview & Custom App. Webview is a simple way to make an app in a short time with a website view. Whereas in a custom app, we need to use coding for every function and, therefore, it takes time even months. In fact, we just need to make a bottom bar in the webview and all functionalities of the website will be there as it is on the website. Basically, it’s a browsing experience which means it seems the same as visiting on the original website. In contrast, on custom app creation we can change everything including the layout of the website, color combination, etc.

How to deal with a client?

If a client contacts us to make an app, we can give them both options. Suppose, we gave them a webview app option, then the budget can be $400, and in custom, it would increase to $1000. It’s just an example. We can also elaborate further to the client that if your budget is low then in the first instance go for webview and if it is a success then move to the custom code app. We can make our gig accordingly as discussed in the last class.

How to make a Gig on Fiverr?

There is no difference if we work as a designer, web developer, or mobile app developer, the procedure is same on Fiverr. To make a gig we need to first log into our account and then from My Business to Gigs. Then we need to make a title. We should use as many as possible keywords there and keep it brief. Following is an example:

Then in the category, we will select Programming & Tech and Mobile App Development. In service type, we need to select Convert Site to App, etc. After that select Android & iOS in Mobile App Platforms. Similarly, select hybrid in the App type. Then we can select Flutter, Kotlin & Swift in Development Technology.

Purpose, Expertise & Keywords

On purpose, we can select shopping, restaurant, delivery, social networking, chat, delivery, booking, maps & navigation, lifestyle, and entertainment. Then in expertise, we can select performance, firebase, design, widgets, security, and ads monetization. Then we will add keywords like “Android, iOS, iOS Developer, iPhone, android development”.

Scope & Pricing

In packages, we can set basic, standard, and premium. These should be different from one another. We need to tell our clients about the services we are going to offer. Like in the basic package, there is only a web view without upload, etc. In pricing, we can start with $30 and then go for $60 to $120 as per our experience. We can also add some dollars in extra fast delivery too.

Description

In the description, we need to explain our services in the best way. Formatting should be proper. We can also make three sections. The first two sections may contain our details/ experience and last, we can add features we are offering. Then we can add FAQs like app approval time: 5-7 days etc.

By using these techniques we should make 2-3 gigs in order to give a boost to our freelancing career.
